Life By Design (LBD) has played a significant ecosystem-support role in the growth of MiKashBoks, founded by Salton Massally. Through its Startup Bodyshop, LBD incubated his earlier venture, iDT Labs, which contributed to the foundation of MiKashBoks. We also supported MiKashBoks through grant and innovation programs, awarding the startup US$150,000 to help informal businesses transition toward formalization and develop innovative financial products. Additionally, our CEO, Joe Abass Bangura, has actively promoted MiKashBoks’ partnerships—such as its collaboration with Afrimoney—reflecting ongoing mentorship, acceleration, and business development support. In essence, LBD has contributed to MiKashBoks’ incubation, funding, visibility, and scaling, strengthening its position as a key fintech innovation in Sierra Leone.
